Horn Williamson, a WBENC certified law firm in Center City, Philadelphia has an immediate opening for an experienced litigation paralegal. We are a fast growing, high energy firm concentrating in construction litigation. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience and be able to multi-task and work individually as well as within a team structure. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in using the Microsoft Office platform, have experience with iManage document management, and be able to e-file in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. This position requires significant client interaction and communication. In addition to excellent verbal and written communication, a strong customer
service mindset is essential.
Preferred candidates will have the ability to learn and apply the law, relate to day-to-day problems and effectively provide solutions. A candidate should be able to prepare a complaint, respond to objections, prepare motions, and can work through the discovery process. Highly motivated self-starters will thrive in this position.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting multiple attorneys
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience e-filing in local Common Pleas Courts in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties, as well as New Jersey e-filing
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cases with competing deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible to meet client and attorney needs.
- Proactive, organized team player.
